At a very young age FRANK EHMANN (°1970) already played the trumpet and bass-tuba with different jazz-bands, among which THE BELGIAN DIXIE KINGS, the Piccolo Dixielandband, Straight Ahead and Hermans Bigband. Later on he played with several Belgian and foreign bands and artists: Deep Creek Jazzuits (B), The Circus Square Jazzband (NL), The Limehouse Jazzband (NL), Carlo Willems (B), Jack Coenen (NL), Andre Donni (B). In a very particular way Frank produces on his bass-tuba the sound of a contra-bass. This way of playing is unique for the Belgian jazz-scene. Discover also his walking-bass!
