Lior Tzemach is a Producer / Guitarist from Tel Aviv, currently working between Los Angeles, Brussels and New York. Lior shared the bandstand with many prominent artists such as George Garzone, Shankar Mahadevan, Esperanza Spalding, and GRAMMY winner drummer and producer Terri Lyne Carrington (Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter), who later hired Lior as a guitarist in her band, playing concerts in the U.S. and the U.K.
Lior Tzemach has extensive experience as a professional transcriptionist, having collaborated with esteemed artists like Lee Ritenour (known for work with Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and Djavan), Dianne Reeves, and faculty from Berklee College of Music. He also contributed his skills to Terri Lyne Carrington's GRAMMY-winning album, "Standards Vol. 1."
Lior participated in many music festivals around the world such as Monterey Jazz Festival (CA), London Jazz Festival (UK), Red Sea Jazz Festival (ISR), Dinant JazzFest (Belgium), Festival Da Jazz (Switzerland), Tarnow Jazzfest (Poland), Kennedy Center (DC).
He started his musical career at Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts in the Jazz department, and served in the IDF army bands as a guitarist/vocalist/arranger.
At Berklee College of music, Lior turned to a degree in Sound Engineering and Production, working with notable audio professionals such as Elliott Scheiner, George Massenburg, Prince Charles Alexander, producing and recording other artists, and touring around the world as a musical director and guitar player for artists based in the East Coast.
Later on Lior completed his master’s degree at Berklee in the Global Jazz Institute, led by Danilo Perez, John Patitucci, and playing with Dave Liebman, Joe Lovano, and Alan Pasqua.
While completing his master's Lior was already working as an engineer for big sessions hired by Berklee College Of Music, recorded at PowerStation (Avatar), Wellspring, Q Division, MixOne, and many others.
Later on he moved to New York City to work and with notable Bassist Omer Avital (Roy Haynes, Kenny Garrett) to work with him as a personal manager, and general manager\curator of his Jazz club and studio in NYC called “Wilson Live”.
Later on in Los Angeles Lior was a musical director of new rising artists, and at the same time working as an sound engineer on some projects with respected artists such as Wayne Shorter and Arturo Sandoval.
