Fulco Ottervanger

Fulco Ottervanger is a Dutch multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer and improvisor. He studied cello from the age of seven. During his childhood, he taught himself to play piano, followed by guitar, bass guitar and drums. He has been writing, performing and recording songs and compositions since a young age.

His first piano teacher was Jozef Dumoulin. At the conservatory he was teached by Erik Vermeulen and Pierre Vaiana. After graduating as a jazz pianist, he studied modern classical composition with Frank Nuyts.

Fulco is composer and frontman of jazz trio De Beren Gieren and krautpop band Stadt.

Side projects are BeraadGeslagen and SH.TG.N. He is also involved in theatre, dance and spoken word projects.
