Call for applications: studio recording 100 % analog

Geysa Productions and Johnson’s Records are launching a call for projects focusing on analogue recording and vinyl.

The aim is for three artistic worlds to come together around a shared experience: recording in analogue and producing a joint vinyl release.

The call is open to artists and bands with a project sufficiently developed to enter the studio. Applications may come from Belgium or abroad, and all musical styles are welcome, provided the project is compatible with the studio’s technical requirements and the analogue approach.

Selection

Once the application deadline has passed, Geysa Productions and Johnson’s Records will make an initial selection of six projects, based in particular on their artistic identity, originality, level of preparation and suitability for the project.

These six projects will then be presented to the public and put to a vote to help select the three winning projects.

Benefits

Each of the three selected projects will benefit from two days’ work at the Johnson’s Records studio: the first day dedicated to sound recording and the recording of the two tracks, followed by a second day dedicated to mixing and mastering.

All work carried out in the studio will be done entirely using analogue equipment, without the use of a computer.

The closing date for entries is  15 November 2026.
