The Green Mean Machine & Idle Moments advance to the finals of B-Jazz ’25

After four exciting preliminary rounds across Flanders, the Belgian finalists of the B-Jazz International Contest 2025 have been announced. Twelve promising Belgian bands gave it their all during performances at GC Felix Sohie (Hoeilaart), CC Het SPOOR (Harelbeke), CC Palethe (Pelt) and Rataplan (Antwerp). An eight-member jury evaluated each set based on originality, ensemble playing, creativity, and musical maturity — no easy task given the incredibly high level.

From this strong selection, The Green Mean Machine and Idle Moments emerged as the chosen finalists. They will now prepare for the grand final later this year, where they’ll take the stage alongside international acts. A well-deserved recognition of their inspiring performances!

We’d like to extend a big thank you to all participating bands for their passion, energy, and talent. And of course, sincere thanks to our partners and venues who made this journey possible: Jazz at Felix, GC Felix Sohie, De Jazzontspooring Harelbeke, CC Het SPOOR, Pelt Jazz, CC Palethe Pelt, and Rataplan Antwerp.
