Call for Artists: LOOF! seeks songwriters
Do you want to work with other talented songwriters and coaches to take your new songs to the next level? LOOF! is for you! LOOF! is aimed at songwriters in the broadest sense: from classical singer-songwriters and Ableton artists to pop artists and rappers.
Het Depot and VI.BE are organising the fourth edition of LOOF! a songwriting camp from Thursday 8 May 2025 to Sunday 11 May 2025 in the Ardennes . Expect songwriting sessions, jams, advice and guidance from top coaches including Lennert Coorevits (Compact Disk Dummies), Meskerem Mees, Roos Denayer (Rosa Butsi), Boris Vanoverschee (Eefje de Visser, Portland) and Aiko Devriendt (Yong Yello).
Some basic information:
- You are a song creator, so not just a performer of music written by others. Duos made up, for example, of a singer and a songwriter are of course welcome.
- Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their motivation, songwriting talent and enthusiasm! We invite them to the open mic at Le Depot (Leuven) on 1 March and 5 April.
- To motivate you, we expect you to answer the following questions:
- What musical path have you already taken?
- What are your plans for the future?
- Why would you like to take part in LOOF!
- You are available on the following dates:
Wednesday 5 March and/or 2 April: open mic at Het Depot
Thursday 8 May to Sunday 11 May: songwriting camp in Vecmont (if selected)
- Deadline for submitting candaidtures: the 31st of January 2025
