Marc Van den Hoof passed away

We have learned of the death of the famous radio presenter and jazz aficionado Marc Van den Hoof at the age of 78.

Marc Van den Hoof began his career on Radio 1 at the age of 30. He continued his career on Radio 2, Omroep Brabant, Radio 3 and Klara as a producer and presenter. The programmes he created and presented for 10 years were ‘Volgeboekt’, ‘Come Sunday’, ‘Songbook’ and ‘Jazz’.

A man of many talents, he was also a saxophone player, a writer, a member of the production team for the festivals 'Jazz Middelheim' and 'Leuven Jazz', a lecturer and a professor of jazz history at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven. We have lost a great jazz expert.
