Final bar : guitarist Jean Berry

We learn of the death of guitarist Jean Berry, which occurred on October 29, 2022, at the age of 101. Jean Berry (born August 7, 1921) had a long career, mainly during the post-WW2 jazz scene. He recorded with Toots Thielemans and played a.o. rhythm guitar a.o. with pianist/banleader Stan Brenders, saxophonist Jack Sels as well as French singers Edith Piaf and Charles Trenet.

For the anecdote, Jean Berry had recently been able to realize an old dream : jumping in parachute. 

And to stay on a human note, thanks to Nico Kanakaris, who supported him during these last years, and accompanied him until the end, by making him listen to Toots on his hospital bed.
