50 years of jazz, together
This anniversary is the culmination of what we have been doing for 50 years: shining a spotlight on the people who make Belgian jazz what it is. It is, above all, a celebration of people, because the history of Les Lundis d’Hortense has been written by many: ‘by and for the musicians’, as we like to remind people.
An anniversary that puts the artists in the spotlight, and which, by extension, celebrates all those who contribute every day to the project’s success: the venues, their teams, the volunteers, the members of the association, and, of course, the audience.
An anniversary that reflects the years we’ve spent together: full of discoveries, experiences and creativity.
This celebration is a milestone, not an end in itself;
An opportunity to come together and pass this self-sustaining project on to the next generation;
A chance to promote all our jazz-related activities;
A promise to keep growing, to broaden our musical horizons, to discover new sounds, and to welcome new music lovers;
A way of saying thank you to the trustees, musicians, trainees, partner venues and our loyal audience;
Long live Belgian jazz!
