South Connotation inevitably evokes the colours of the South: those of the sun and distant lands. Their music immerses the listener in a world inspired by Latin American, African and Mediterranean music. Acoustic and electric sounds blend with intense and meditative southern atmospheres.
The musicians hail from the Mons area and will be performing their most recent compositions, taken from, amongst others, their third CD, *Calor de Outono*. An afternoon to look forward to, then!
Since 2006, South Connotation has been exploring world music in the broadest sense of the term. Borrowing elements from rock, traditional music, jazz and blues, as well as striking a balance between acoustic and electric sounds, are part of the group’s DNA and form the basis for their original compositions.
