Re#encounter - Brosella Festival

re#encounter is a collective built around the concept of encounter as a creative force. Their music mirrors the essence of a city: a rhizome of trajectories, influences and connections that intersect, challenge one another and continuously reshape themselves. Rather than aiming for fusion, the project embraces difference, where each encounter opens new horizons and redefines tradition and identity.

Emerging from an improvised gathering initiated by Robbe Bey Latré, the collective has grown into a fluid ensemble of musicians with diverse backgrounds and influences. Their sound draws from gnawa traditions, neo-griot storytelling, afro-diasporic rhythms and futuristic soundscapes, with jazz and improvisation serving as a common language.

re#encounter functions as a living, evolving organism where spontaneity, rhythmic energy and collective creation are at the core. Their music is both rooted and forward-looking, reflecting the richness of cultural exchange within a contemporary urban landscape.
