Exposition: la place de la femme dans le jazz à travers les pochettes de disque

An exhibition celebrating women in jazz through nearly 200 album covers.

“The Role of Women in Jazz” offers a visual and auditory immersion into the history of this music through nearly 200 album covers. The exhibition highlights the women who have left their mark on the history of jazz, despite the obstacles to their recognition in a field where men have historically held a dominant position. The visit is enhanced by a soundtrack, and several events will complement this experience during the exhibition period. Presented during the summer, and in conjunction with Dinant Fête la Musique, the exhibition will be accompanied by a concert and other highlights, inviting visitors to celebrate jazz in a new way, blending memory and discovery.

An exhibition that celebrates the often underrepresented female figures of jazz, while highlighting their major impact and lasting legacy in the history of this music.

Opening on Friday, June 19, starting at 6:30 p.m., with a live performance by Belgian jazz singer Natacha Wuyts.
