A rising star of the Brussels Soul-R&B scene, Marylène Corro is a Belgian-Chilean singer-songwriter bursting with energy. Her sensitivity leads her to address themes of protest that resonate throughout her music. Her strong social conscience initially led this former lawyer to advocate for refugees before she found her own voice.
It was through her travels, and particularly while exploring the Soul and Jazz jam sessions of New York, that she decided to dedicate herself to what truly moved her. She embarked on jazz studies at the Brussels Conservatory.
Nourished by a wealth of diverse musical influences and having toured extensively with renowned Belgian musicians, she delivers a concentrated dose of emotion and authenticity in her debut album. Her fusion songs, tinged with pop, will take us off the beaten path, blending vulnerability and attitude, lightness and audacity, groove and commitment. It's a surprising sound all her own, prompting reflection while bringing a smile to our faces. Joining her on stage is a vibrant band: Carla Pusceddu on guitar, Léa Kadian on bass, and Hadrien Pierson on drums.
