Adrien Guiot chante Rosa Balistreri

Adrien Guiot chante Rosa Balistreri

For this 14th of February, we have organised a gentle dinner-concert during which you can discover the repertoire of singer Rosa Balistreri, set to music and staged by three top-flight musicians :

Adrien Guiot : guitar and vocals

Everton Firmeza : double bass

Pierre Vaiana : saxophone

Rosa Balistreri, born in Sicily, is in a way the Sicilian Edith Piaf, who sang from the 1930s until her death in 1990 in Palermo.

Adrien Guiot & Everton Firmeza

On his return from a trip to Sicily, Adrien Guiot, who plays the guitar and sings, decided to revive the repertoire of Rosa Balistreri – an essential Sicilian singer (1927-1990) – alongside Everton Firmeza on double bass.

Folk music meets jazz to pay tribute to this poignant, warm and surprising repertoire – just like Sicily itself!

For this project, they have enlisted the talents of saxophonist Pierre Vaiana.
