Johan Dupont Trio

It's safe to say that the trio formed by pianist Johan Dupont, bassist Bo Waterschoot, and drummer and percussionist Stephan Pougin guarantees an evening rich in emotion.

A classically trained pianist and a curious and playful improviser, Johan Dupont studied improvised music at the Conservatory of Liège and jazz at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. Alongside this more classical background, Johan is a member of several musical groups of various styles, such as Big Noïse, Music 4 a while, and the European orchestra ViVo!

Johan Dupont's unclassifiable compositions delicately explore a musical space steeped in childhood and nostalgia, populated by bittersweet memories of a lost paradise, where everything was possible and nothing was lacking. It is moving and luminous. It took three artists as intrepid as they were sensitive to venture into such territory.
