La Valise + Seesayle Quartet

La Valise is a duo of singers and musicians formed by Marie Zinnen on violin and Fanny Vadjaraganian on chromatic accordion. After travelling extensively in their Train de Nuit and seasoning their ethnofolk music with love and humour, the two companions present their new album entitled INSIDE. As its name suggests, this journey will be more internal, exploring their emotions, their guts, their ovaries... and they have plenty of those!

They sing and play with raw sensitivity, talking about their loves, their follies, their joys, their memories, their hopes and their dreams with very delicate music, whispered in your ear like a lace-trimmed secret. Their love of travel and the musicality of languages has inspired their multilingual songwriting. Their original compositions are written in French, English, German, Spanish and Réunion Creole. Come closer, open La Valise and settle comfortably into this cocoon of gentleness, good humour and complicity.

Composer and multi-instrumentalist Seesayle draws inspiration from a diverse range of musical genres (post-rock, folk, neo-classical, jazz, trip-hop) to create dreamy post-folk dream pop, sometimes inspired by the seventies, resulting in her fourth album: ‘Streams’.

Streams tells an intimate epic tale that reveals, in turn, the staggering emptiness of false dreams, a surge of curiosity and openness, and an irrepressible desire to take risks and venture into the unknown. The mainstream of our world offers disappointing magic, and its cardboard circus atmosphere of cheap dreams awakens a need to listen to other flows, other streams.
