Camera Obscura is a musical metaphor for the inverted image of the world around us. The music on this album explores several themes: the path, shadow and light. The trio format is ideal for dialogue between the musicians. The soprano saxophone is highlighted by the orchestration and the melodious, lyrical and seemingly simple melodies. The counterpoints between the saxophone and the cello, which at times evoke chamber music, are complemented by the guitar, which sometimes has folk overtones and sometimes verges on experimental rock. The compositions unfold like the soundtrack to a road movie, one that depicts an inner, meditative journey.
