Jazz in de Fwajee - Breathing met studenten conservatorium

Young talent on the jazz stage in the fwajee! For this unique concert, the jazz department of the Antwerp Conservatory brings together talented master students with musical talents from the conservatories of Brussels and Ghent. This unique band shows the best of themselves after an intensive week of coaching and rehearsals led by the renowned jazz musician Stéphane Galland. Galland is known for his creativity and the naturalness with which he manages extremely complex rhythms. His musical spectrum extends beyond jazz and also includes African music, classical music and pop. With Aka Moon he performed worldwide and recorded more than 25 albums.

Curator Gert-Jan Dreessen, drummer/composer and one of the great jazz talents of his generation, studied at the Antwerp Conservatory himself and is now inviting a next generation of musicians. The Fwajee will be converted into an intimate jazz club for the occasion and after the concert you can chat with the musicians with a regional beer, wine or a non-alcoholic alternative in hand.
