DRUSS LECOMTE JAZZ QUARTET Erroll Garner Legacy

Druss discovers the extraordinary Erroll Garner and his incredible playing full of humor in swing or mambo as in ballads... By listening to him, Druss understands and learns the technique of this great self-taught pianist...: a purely rhythmic left hand and a right hand which plays the themes while having fun pretending to drag to better catch up with the melody...

Druss will have the chance to go see him at the "Palais des Beaux-Arts" in Brussels...Druss is 19 years old at that time and dreams of creating a quartet like his Master... In 2010, he created his first trio in homage to Erroll Garner... Finally, for five years, Druss's dream has come true with the "Druss Lecomte Jazz Quartet" thanks to the excellent Thomas Petit on drums, Jo Maartense on double bass and Odimba Ghenda on congas who brings an African color to this quartet. This project, which is the legacy of Erroll Garner, is Druss' most beautiful project…
