Yazz Ahmed, the British-Bahraini trumpeter, has become a key figure in contemporary jazz, blending jazz, electronic sounds, and Arabic influences into a captivating style often described as psychedelic Arabic jazz. She rose to prominence with La Saboteuse and Polyhymnia, and is known for her feminist commitment, prestigious collaborations (Radiohead, Lee Scratch Perry, Natacha Atlas…), and her desire to build bridges between cultures.
