 Lysis – An exploration of poetry and imagination 

Belgian composer and musician Eve was inspired by the humor and dreamlike atmosphere of poems by Robert Frost and Edna Millay. This poetry served as the starting point for her new compositions, where she combines the power of language and music. To bring these poems to life in an innovative way, Eve sought a voice and instrumentation that would open new perspectives and stimulate the imagination. She invited singer Lynn Cassiers and double bassist Lennart Heyndels, both known for their use of electronics combined with their instruments, to collaborate on the project. Together, this trio has created a unique sound world that gives the poetic texts a contemporary and profound interpretation. The album Lysis, recorded in October 2023, will be released in 2025 on Igloo Records. It promises to be an intriguing musical journey where poetry and music blend in a groundbreaking way.
