Jean-Paul Estiévenart immediately won the Django d'or when he appeared on the jazz scene in 2006. In the meantime, he has become one of the absolute strongholds of the instrument and tours with his own trio and quintet. He is also noticeable in the Gert-Jan Dreessen quartet and the crossover project Tryptique around the music of Bach. He has already recorded more than 50 albums and still finds the time to train a new generation of jazz trumpet players at LUCA, school of arts.
Especially for this concert, Jean-Paul forms a trio with Lorenzo Di Maio (guitar) and Bram De Looze (piano).
