Since her brilliant debut album Mud Stories from 1999, singer-songwriter An Pierlé has been working tirelessly on a unique and timeless oeuvre. In the studio of her partner, musician-producer Koen Gisen, she met two young jazz talents: pianist Hendrik Lasure and drummer Casper Van De Velde. The four musicians had a meeting of minds and together created a completely unique universe. In the borderland between experimental pop and jazz, wonderful projects such as Sylvia and Wiga Waga emerged. The An Pierlé Quartet's Walden set combines existing work with a sneak preview of a new album currently under incubation.
