22a label boss, flutist, saxophonist, producer and DJ, Ed 'Tenderlonious' Cawthorne is regarded as one of the leading figures in the London jazz and underground scene. His 22a label, based in South London, is one of the UK's most respected independent labels, following a succession of sought-after jazz, house, hip hop, soul, garage, Indian classical and jungle releases. He is the founder and leader of the jazz-funk-fusion quartet Ruby Rushton, whose debut album 'Two For Joy' is often credited with inspiring the resurgence of British jazz.

His debut live album 'Tenderlonious The Shakedown' is regarded as one of the finest classic albums of the modern jazz era, receiving rave reviews and over 5 million streams worldwide. In 2023, he will return with a new live album and a live show, featuring some of his favourite musicians and collaborators. He also has projects coming up in 2023 with Jaubi, Nick Walters, Joel Holmes, the Spirit Of Sundaze ensemble and Lorenzo Morresi.
