Simon Comte quartet

This brand-new quartet, led by Simon Comte, a young rising saxophone star based in New York, is an explosive cocktail made up of some of the top names on today's young Brussels jazz scene.

The repertoire, mainly based on Simon's own compositions but also including a few original arrangements, gives pride of place to the dialogue between the musicians. The jazz is at times impressionistic, at times post-bop, at times pop...

The quartet recorded a 4-track studio demo at the end of August 2023, and Simon is currently working on his "Debut" album!

Simon Comte is the 2023 Laureate of the prestigious Belgian American Educational Foundation Scholarship, and has just received an invitation from the world-renowned, Grammy-winning WDR Big Band of Cologne to perform as a soloist with him in early 2025!

Simon Comte's New York debut was a big success, and at just 18, he has already established himself as one of the leading tenor saxophonists of the new generation!
