QUENTIN DUJARDIN & OLIVIER KER OURIO

QUENTIN DUJARDIN & OLIVIER KER OURIO

Guitarist Quentin Dujardin and harmonica player Olivier Ker Ourio, two musicians who have developed their unique musical style by travelling, will be performing at the old abattoir on 14 April. Doors open at 10.30am, concert starts at 11am. Coffee and croissants are included in the entrance fee.

The two artists met while in the studio in 2016. In addition to a world music gene that they both express in jazz improvisation, they are linked by the language of their favourite islands. Olivier Ker Ourio speaks magnificently of his native Réunion, and Quentin Dujardin of his adventures in Madagascar, Andalusia and Mali. Their musical journey takes us on an ocean of blue notes, oscillating between jazz, blues and world music.

Their original compositions are like a landscape that stretches to infinity, giving way to vast, colourful spaces, like a film that pays homage to travel.

Olivier Ker Ourio (OKO) has lived in Paris since 1992. After spending his childhood on Reunion Island, he is now regarded as one of the world's leading chromatic jazz harmonica players.

Quentin Dujardin is a composer, guitarist and producer who creates a unique universe with his classical guitar. His compass is always sound and emotion.
