Gaume Jazz d'Hiver avec Michel Reis, piano solo

Luxembourgish pianist and composer, Michel Reis has been playing for many years around the world, appearing in the biggest festivals on the jazz scene and the most famous concert halls, such as the Blue Note Jazz Club, the Olympia in Paris, the Montreux Jazz Festival, and many others. An “amazing pianist” - in the words of Downbeat Magazine -, several times awarded, who has produced 11 albums to date as leader or co-leader! Scottish author and jazz connoisseur Brian Morton holds Michel Reis in high esteem.

The storyteller: There was Mito in 2018, Short Stories in 2020, For a Better Tomorrow is the third solo album by Michel Reis in five years. Three albums in which the Luxembourgish pianist tells beautiful stories that are both simple and sophisticated. (...) this album is light, airy, melancholic and deep. Nine personal compositions plus two Bob Dylan titles, Simple Twist of Fate and Chimes of Freedom. Very nice. (Jean-Claude Van Troyen - MAD - December 20, 2023)

An album to fall in love with, peaceful and full of hope, which reflects Michel Reis' tranquil vision of the world. Audiences can expect an intimate and special piano recital.

Nowadays, it is on the stage of the cultural center at Rossignol that this talented pianist comes to dazzle!
