Didier Laloy celebrates 30 years in the music business

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of his career, Didier Laloy, thanks to the artistic complicity and passionate energy of Poney Gross (Zig Zag World), takes a breather and entrusts his repertoire to two great names in Belgian classical music, Jean-Luc Fafchamps and Gwenael-Mario Grisi. Together, they rearranged Didier's most emblematic songs for symphony orchestra.

In addition, three talented young Cuban composers (Pepe Gavilondo, Jorge Amado and René Baños) have created a new way of making the diatonic accordion sing, especially for Didier.

An exceptional creation, because of the rare encounter between the diatonic accordion and a symphony orchestra, and because of the power, finesse and originality of the arrangements based on Didier's universe.

The project culminated in an album recorded in Cuba with the Orquesta Sinfonico Del Lyceum De La Havana, and a tour accompanied by the Orchestre de Chambre de la Néthen and the Ensemble Quartz.

On stage, this musical journey into a cinematic imaginary world promises surprising, tender and festive moments, enhanced by tasty anecdotes from a musician's life.

Didier Laloy discovered the diatonic accordion at the age of 13. With this instrument, he entered a new world, an infinite musical and human universe. His first encounters led him to world music. It wasn't long before he began experimenting with French chanson and rock. He took his first steps on stage at the age of 16, first alongside Marc Malempré, then Steve Houben and Luc Pilartz. What followed was an avalanche of encounters and discoveries. Didier never stopped letting himself be surprised and breaking boundaries, moving seamlessly from the world of music to theater, not forgetting circus and poetry. Today, he has taken part in the recording of over 200 albums and plays all over the world.
