For his debut album, pianist Wouter Van den Broeck composed the “Marshland Sonata”, a work that consists of different movements linked by melodic patterns and key relationships, but in which improvisation always plays a major role.

For his don Marsh quintet he has assembled a fantastic team with rhythm masters Matthias de Waele on drums and Janos Bruneel on double bass and a dazzling front line with trumpet star Jean-Paul Estiévenart and young lion Warre Van de Putte on tenor saxophone.
