Halewynstichting - jazzcursus - BJO-optie

This year, the Halewyn Foundation, in collaboration with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, is once again anchoring the big band repertoire in operation in order to bring everyone into contact with this typical jazz style. In this way, this jazz course ensures the continuity of the big band in the musical landscape and makes the public and jazz lovers aware of this genre. In the morning you will join the course instrument program, from the afternoon onwards you will study in big band sections and from the end of the afternoon onwards there will be tutti rehearsals. A week of intense collaboration and jamming with musicians who live for big bands, jazz, and improvisation. Take your level up a notch because a week playing in a big band, accompanied by the best musicians in the BJO... could change your life!

With trombonists Lode Mertens and Marc Godfroid, conductor Frank Vaganée and bassist Bart Denolf.

There is only a place left for one pianist, two trumpeters, and one trombonist. Please note: those who have never participated in this option of the BJO can only register after an audition. To do so, please contact Maarten Weyler at info@halewynstichting.be.

Please find more information here.

We would like to invite you in advance to the final concert in Destelheide Hall De Put on 29 July at 7.30 pm.
