Alto saxophonist and composer Lieven Cambré has been active on stage for many years.
He has written his own projects (QLC, All-In Quartet, MAMUTRIO) and for other ensembles (Muze Jazz Orchestra, Brussels Jazz Orchestra).
With this quartet, Lieven has chosen to give a new life to some "forgotten" compositions of his repertoire.
Originally, these works were written for special occasions or ensembles, but they still offer the LCQ a framework for contemporary performance and improvisation in concert.
Most of these compositions are inspired in one way or another by interesting personalities on the music scene.
The repertoire is enriched with new compositions in order to create a balance between the different musical contexts.
The album "Connected" is to be taken literally. Without connection, there is no music, no performance, no concert. For Lieven, the link between music and its perception, musical creation, musicians and listeners is essential.
The Lieven Cambré Quartet proposes an acoustic jazz for a lasting pleasure and invites you to experience the feeling of being "connected".
