Stadlander is a band around the Ghent pianist Stijn Engels, in which Stijn shows his personal side. Here, his own musical creations take shape and find their way to the outside world, under the guidance of his fantastic fellow musicians.
In 2020, this musical journey resulted in the recording of their first album "Stadlander", which they can now proudly present to the public.
Stadlander takes you on an imaginative journey and stays true to their warm and colorful melodies and harmonies. Rhythmic, lyrical, impressionistic, sometimes exuberant, rooted in the jazz tradition with a nod to the blues that is never far away.
