With Shauli Einav (sax), Eran Har-Even (gr), Jean-Yves Jung (organ/pn), Paul Wiltgen (dr)
After six albums as a leader with only acoustic instrumentation, Shauli Einav, an Israeli saxophonist based in Luxembourg, is exploring more electronic and electric soundscapes.
His music is inspired by both jazz and other genres. Einav seeks to revive the sounds he listened to in the 1990s: the sound of British artists such as Jamiroquai, The Prodigy, Simply Red or David Bowie, medieval folk music and modern jazz-influenced harmonies.
"In a way, this is my tribute to my teenage years, where I seek to bring a wider audience to jazz music, bridging the popular aesthetics of the younger generation with the mainstream jazz of today."
For this new project, Einav has teamed up with some of the rising stars of the European jazz scene: Dutch guitarist Eran Har Even, French organist Jean-Yves Jung as well as Luxembourg drummer Paul Wiltgen.
