"Roots" is a soul-inspired album, the result of the author's closeness to nature and moments of deep reflection. This is not really a surprise. Indeed, music and nature are two elements that have marked the composer Olivier Chavet since his childhood, both on a private and professional level. This Belgian, born in Aachen, combined studies in music and agronomy. He knows from his daily experience of these two fields of activity that everything fits together, like a network of roots.

"Racines' is therefore an artistic translation of the themes that interest Olivier Chavet as a farmer and friend of nature. The nine songs on the new album express his nostalgia for a simple life, centred on nature. The root, the anchor of all life, symbolises the cohesion we all so badly need. Starting from a moment of absolute calm, the work takes us on a sublime journey to powerful musical expression, offering us a multitude of groovy, well-paced tracks.

"I love all things that have soul. Regardless of the musical genre, I don't like music without soul", says Olivier Chavet about his album, for which the instrumentation and the personality of the musicians are also very important. "I prefer to work with people who are naturally relaxed and have a certain basic confidence. For this project, I was lucky enough to be able to count on precisely this type of artist to engrave my musical ambitions in an album."
