Youth centre SOJO puts local talents in the spotlight.
Moene Peeters is the brainchild of LUCA jazz students Bruno de Smet (bass synth and keys) and Moene Peeters (drums). With their enthusiastic line-up, they bring a set that can be called a mix of jazz, funk, fusion and jungle. While they are busy finding themselves in the music that is created by jamming, the connection between the two musicians is what counts. Their influences can be found in Kamaal Williams, Yussef Dayes and STUFF.
FAAR is a three-piece band from Leuven. What started with sporadic jam sessions has grown into its own sound through a shared passion and diverse influences. With music ranging from dirty funk and smooth jazz to even hip-hop vibes, they take their first steps into the Belgian nu-jazz scene.
