A musical approach that avoids chaos and noise, but rather a measured style of playing show-casing visual richness inventively and subtly composed. Drummer and composer Anke Verslype is the driving force behind the band aki, for which she composes the music. The combination of drums with harp, guitar and bass is unique and has already won a lot of praise for its unusual sound and refined cohesion. For their JazzLab tour and first full-length album, reed player Joachim Badenhorst will join the band.
