Voice, Clarinet and Violin soar in balance above a Guitar. Les Contes d'Alfonsina is a light locomotive, with elegant aestheticism. Starting from the cultural heritage of the four musicians, the search for a hybrid identity takes the form of a journey, combining the Manouche universe, Mediterranean exoticism and more modern jazz sonorities. The quartet presents its first album, Chapitre I, recorded at Igloo Recorded Studio and published by the label Dodicilune. Every track is a narrative frame and an investigation of rhythm and harmony searching for a new and original orchestral relation among traditional gipsy jazz instruments.
