The African-American tradition will be shaped on 9 July by the dream team of saxophonist Charles Lloyd and guitarist Bill Frisell, who unleashed a pearl of music on the world with their Tone Poem. By folding back to classics, they bring the essence of jazz to life: the freedom to rework, in their own way, what already exists. This is simply masterful class by a jazz veteran and will undoubtedly be a spiritual experience.
Fun fact: the two musicians have already performed at Gent Jazz twice, but this is the first time they will be playing together.
