This unique cello and bass jazz duo plays original compositions by André Klenes.

Their music is the result of a dynamic fusion of the two instruments' characters, where syncopated rhythms and blues harmonies are infused with the colour of the strings. Each composition is a musical head-to-head where the roles of soloist, actor and improviser within the ensemble are shared. Melodies and stylised dances meet at the heart of this dialogue in a series of poetic and thematic "suites".

André Klenes won first prize for double bass and chamber music at the Royal Conservatory at Liège, Belgium. He has worked extensively as a classical musician, playing concerts and making recordings with the Orchestre Symphonique de la Radio Télévision Belge, the Orchestre National de Belgique, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège and the Opéra Royal de Wallonie. As a Jazz musician, he has taken part in a number of seminars (with Jean-Louis Rassinfosse, Steve Houben and Charles Loos) and has appeared with Jacques Pelzer, Jean-Pierre Catoul and others. He is regularly involved with the major educational project in Belgium, Les Jeunesses Musicales. He has also, since 1986, been bass soloist with the ensemble of the French singer-songwriter William Sheller. André Klenes founded "Adam¹s Dream" in 2000, first as a string quintet, then as the cello and bass duo.

Sébastien Walnier began playing the cello at the age of five. He received a higher diploma in cello and chamber music from the Royal Conservatory in Liège, and in 2000 was awarded first prize for cello at the Conservatoire National de Musique in Paris, studying under Roland Pidoux. He performs regularly in a trio with Alexander Gurning and Sébastien Surel. Since 2004 Sébastien Walnier has been a member of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Liège. The embracing of a dual career as classical cellist and jazz cellist, with equal success and enthusiasm, makes him practically a unique figure in the profession.
