Francesca Murro is an Italian jazz singer based in Belgium. After a traineeship at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Brussels as Assistant Professor to renowned vocalist David Linx, she chose to remain in the city. Alongside teaching and choir conducting, she founded and leads her quintet with some of the finest Belgian musicians. The ensemble celebrates jazz history through the unforgettable voices of Sarah Vaughan, Nina Simone, Betty Carter and others. She has studied, and continues to study, with masters such as Barry Harris, Roberta Gambarini, Norma Winstone, among many more. Since 2023 she has been directing her group and is currently composing and arranging her debut album, to be recorded in 2026.
