Tim Vermeulen Quartet

Belgian based modern jazz quartet led by drummer/composer Tim Vermeulen. This quartet started out in 2022 and features some of Belgium’s most adventurous young improvisers: Felix Declerck (Electric bas), Seppe De Bleser (Alto saxophone), Thibault Deryckere (Piano) and Tim Vermeulen (Drums)

The quartet creates a harmonious and rhythmical and dynamic interplay featuring obscure colors combined with lyric themes that blend into one full band sound. The setting with electric bas and alto sax make it a less common sound that creates a unique vibe/feel and works perfectly! 

Tim started out studying music at Pxl-Music (Hasselt) but was after graduating still not convinced that he was a full accomplished musician… Especially because at that time Tim was sold on jazz music so there was only one thing to do… The conservatory of Ghent opened their arms and got him to open up all his senses to absorb as much material as he possible can.
