Berlin Jazz Orchestra feat. Marc Secara

In recent years, the BERLIN JAZZ Orchestra, under the artistic direction of JIGGS WHIGHAM, has developed into one of the most renowned orchestras of its kind in all of Germany.
“The Berlin Jazz Orchestra has the entire range of big band sound painting.” (Berliner Morgenpost)

From the traditional swing program with music by Duke Ellington, Count Basie or Glenn Miller to the most beautiful melodies in film history to current hits in a new and fresh big band guise - the Berlin Jazz Orchestra with its 17 outstanding musicians masters every genre in a thrilling manner.

Founded in 2000 by MARC SECARA, it has been providing exceptional concert experiences for over 23 years. Thomas Quasthoff, Dieter Hallervorden, Patti Austin, Joja Wendt, Alfred Biolek, Bill Ramsey, Manfred Krug, Uschi Brüning and many others were guests of Marc Secara and his orchestra and were more than enthusiastic about the Berlin all-star cast.
The trade press cheered: “What the band had to offer as a so-called background must have fascinated every visitor. …a real hit.” (Jazzpodium)

A living legend has been the conductor of the orchestra for more than 23 years: Jiggs Whigham has been performing successfully on stages around the world for half a century. The American, “one of the most experienced orchestra leaders in Europe and – as a pioneer in Germany – an institution in Germany”, played with, among others, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Duke Ellington and Count Basie.
“A revelation for every music lover” (Alfred Biolek)
