L'Âme des Poètes

  • Constituted : 01/10/1993

L’Âme des Poètes presents its reinterpretation of Édith Piaf’s repertoire.

The trio L’Âme des Poètes consists of Jean-Louis Rassinfosse on double bass, Pierre Vaiana on soprano saxophone, and Fabien Degryse on acoustic guitar.

For over thirty-three years, this trio has specialized in jazz interpretations of the great classics of French chanson.

Each concert alternates between emotion and humor, highlighted by Jean-Louis Rassinfosse’s introductions. He has released eight albums on the Igloo label and is preparing the release of his ninth album for October 2026.

For this brand-new 9th album, and to mark his 33 years in the business, the 3° l’Ame des Poètes wants to strike three notes by naming it “Les Trois Cloches”, after the iconic song by La Môme Piaf.

It is indeed from the musical and poetic world of this great lady that the three companions of jazz and French chanson have drawn their new inspirations, which “waltz” until you lose your mind!

The program features numerous musical surprises, distinguished guests Thibaut Dille and Joël Rabesolo, and a song almost never heard before in Liège Walloon, which Edith Piaf described as “the most beautiful love song there is.”
