IBIYEWA is a music group born in the streets of Brussels, led by Angelo Moustapha, a talented Beninese drummer who quickly made a name for himself in Europe alongside Lionel Loueke and Philip Catherine. With the participation of Madagascan guitarist Joel Rabelsolo (Linley Marthe), Belgian saxophonist Toine Thys (Sam Yahel) and bassist Jérémy Debuysschere (Elvis Romeo), IBIYEWA is a band that blends traditional African influences with contemporary creative innovations to create a unique and catchy sound.


The band's name, "Ici nous ressemble" in Yoruba, reflects their desire to transcend cultural barriers and create music that unites. Their music is an eclectic mix of African rhythms, grooves, haunting melodies and bold improvisations. The result is music that thrills and sweeps the audience along in a whirlwind of sounds and rhythms.
