"Erik Bogaerts Kwartet" is a playful jazz quartet founded by alto saxophonist Erik Bogaerts (Mephiti, Les Chroniques De L'inutile). Together with tenor saxophonist Jeroen van Herzeele, bassist Brice Soniano and drummer Steven Cassiers they play music that searches the balance between serene melodies within harmonic structures and energetic expression in groove and improvisation. Interplay between the members is key and the pursuance of a joyous night for players and listeners is their guiding principle.
