Caçamba's music is the fruit of Victor da Costa's Brazilian influences' fusion with his jazz apprenticeship in Europe. Boris Gaquere adds his classical feeling and sun-bright swing, Claudio Rocha, his caricoca groove and Osvaldo Hernandez the vibrant colour of his percussion. The group's diversity is clearly reflected in the diversity of rhythm and harmony in their music. Here jostle samba, choro, frevo, baião, maracatu… and jazz. A breath of fresh air !
