After two albums of original compositions, an album of Thelonious Monk's repertoire, and numerous appearances on various projects across Europe, saxophonist Vincent Thekal has assembled a top-notch European band for his fourth album as a leader: "Straight Ahead." He is joined by trumpeter Rémy Labbé and pianist Casimir Liberski, both graduates of the prestigious Berklee College of Music and returned to Europe after several years in New York. The rhythm section comprises bassist Sal La Rocca and drummer Armando Luongo.
