Over the years, I've had the pleasure of releasing several albums that blend my love of jazz and chanson. More recently, together with my favorite trio and under the direction of Éric De Staercke, we created Y'a d'la joie—a musical inspired by the enchanting world of Charles Trenet. A two-month run at the Théâtre Le Public in Brussels was truly unforgettable!
It is only natural, then, that I now present "Je chante", a new single that continues this wonderful journey. This reimagined version resonates especially at a time when the role of the itinerant artist is more precarious than ever.
This track serves as a bridge between my latest theatrical project and my forthcoming album of covers, scheduled for release this spring. Je chante is the first glimpse, with additional surprises gradually unveiling until the release in May—all while being supported by my ever-faithful trio: Quentin Liégeois (guitar) and Cédric Raymond (double bass).
