It is a purely acoustic trio: Line Daenen on flute, Benoit Minon 7-string guitarist and composer and Renato Martins on percussion. A priori a typical formula for playing Brazilian music, in particular Choro, which these three musicians have also practiced for a long time, each with flying colors in other groups. However, as its name suggests, Trio Misturado ("Mixed Trio" in Portuguese) is a meeting of several musical styles, jazz, classical, Latin - with a very present Brazilian base.

The meeting in 2023 of these three musicians around a common project was obviously stimulated by their shared love of Latin and Brazilian music, and more specifically by playing this very particular Brazilian style born in Rio in the 19th century: the « Choro ». Through the practice of these themes requiring virtuosity and rhythmic precision they developed their mutual listening and their sonic osmosis.

Subsequently, Trio Misturado explored other styles in order to broaden its musical spectrum while keeping a solid anchor in this music, always motivated by the pleasure of telling great stories full of nuances, rhythmic variations and coated with poetry and finesse.

Their repertoire alternates original compositions and covers of pieces selected and arranged with passion and delicacy, oscillating between jazz improvisations and written music, always with lots of space, nuances and numerous rhythmic subtleties, while flirting with chamber music.
