Jaune Toujours - Manifiesta - Oostende

Since the mid-1990s, the Brussels-based collective Jaune Toujours has been serving up a sizzling mix of groove, brass and accordion. With the energy of a rock band, the joy of improvisation of a jazz combo, the open-mindedness of musical adventurers and the charisma of street musicians, they share their poetic and incisive reflections on society. 

Through their lyrics, Jaune Toujours take stock of the state of the world. A lot is going wrong: climate crises, social inequality, oppression, the dominance of imagery and discourse, the shift towards the far right, wars… But if there’s one thing that can give us hope, it’s music! Jaune Toujours’ songs keep our spirits up by encouraging us to make the right choices, turn values into action and make the world a better place.

So it’s no surprise that they’ve been regular fixtures on the ManiFiesta stages over the past few years. But in 2026, Jaune Toujours is  celebrating 30 years on stage – so there’s no better time to invite them back! 

On the programme: catchy songs, a punky attitude, drum & brass, accordion dub and Belgian ska – no language or other barriers (with lyrics in English, French and Dutch) and with lyrics that don’t mince their words but still contain a touch of poetry.
